iStitch Terms and Conditions

At iStitch, every dress that comes through our studio is treated with the same care we would give our own. These terms explain simply how we work, so you know exactly what to expect, whether you are coming to us for alterations, a bridal attendant on your wedding morning, or a dress from our shop. By booking an appointment or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

 

About Us

iStitch, a trading name of Your Pearl Bridal Ltd, is a bridal seamstress studio in Peterborough, run by an experienced seamstress with over 35 years of dressmaking experience. You can always reach us directly:

Your Alterations

Free consultation. Consultations are always free. We will assess your garment and provide a quote for the work required.

Prices. Our starting prices are shown on our Services page. The final price depends on the garment and the work needed, and is agreed with you before we begin. Alterations required in less than 4 weeks may incur an additional charge, depending on availability. We never add hidden charges: you will pay the price we quote, unless you request extra work during the process that was not included in the original quote.

No deposit. We do not require a deposit for alteration work.

 

Payment.

Payment is due when you collect your finished garment.

Clean garments. Please bring your garment freshly cleaned to your appointment, so that we can give it the best possible care.

Fittings. Some dresses require more than one fitting. If you request extra work after the agreed alterations have been completed, this will be charged separately. If your weight or shape changes after you have collected your garment and it needs altering again, this will be treated as a new job. Please bring the shoes and underwear you will wear on your wedding day to every fitting.

 

Collection. We will let you know when your garment is ready. Please collect it within 3 weeks. Garments not collected within 3 weeks will incur a storage fee of £10 per week.

Existing damage. We inspect every garment with you before work begins and point out any existing damage or stains. We take great care with every garment, but we cannot be responsible for damage, weak fabric, or stains that were already present before the garment came to us.

Happy with your alterations. If you are not happy with any alteration, please tell us as soon as possible and we will put it right. Alteration work is non-refundable once it has begun.

Customisation, Cleaning and Steaming

Customisation. Prices for customisation work, such as sleeves, capes, overskirts, and restyling, are agreed at your consultation.

Cleaning. Every gown is cleaned with care using professional methods. Some stains or fabric damage may be permanent, particularly red wine, grass, pollen, or oil. We cannot guarantee results where the fibres are already damaged.

Steaming. For the best finish, please allow 24 hours after steaming before your dress is worn or collected. This allows the fabric to settle into its smooth shape.

 

Your Wedding Morning: Bridal Attendant and On-Location Steaming

Booking. Bridal attendant and on-location steaming services are by appointment only, and dates are limited. A deposit of 50% of the price is required to secure your date for the bridal attendant service or any package. Your date is confirmed once your deposit has been paid. The remaining balance is due 14 days before your wedding. If you book less than 14 days before your wedding, full payment is due at the time of booking.

What is included. Each package includes the services and hours listed on its page. On-location steaming covers one wedding gown and one veil.

Changes. If you need to change or cancel your date, please let us know as early as possible. If you cancel more than 3 months before your wedding, we will refund your deposit minus a £50 administration fee. If you cancel within 3 months of your wedding, your deposit is non-refundable. If you book less than 3 months before your wedding, your deposit is non-refundable from the time of booking. If we are unable to provide a booked service due to illness or an emergency, we will refund all payments in full.

Travel. Travel is free within 15 miles of Peterborough. A travel fee may apply for locations further away, and we will inform you of this before you book.

 

Your Dress from the iStitch Shop

Try-ons. You are welcome to book a free try-on at our Peterborough studio before purchasing.

Sizing. Our dresses follow standard UK sizing. Please check the measurements on each dress before ordering.

Payment. Payment is taken in full when you order online or purchase at our studio.

Delivery. UK delivery is free and tracked. You may also collect your dress from our studio.

Cancelling an online order. You may cancel an online order within 14 days of receiving it by emailing iluta@istitchinfo.co.uk. Please return the dress within 14 days of cancelling, unworn, unaltered, and in perfect condition, with tags attached and in its original packaging. Return postage is your responsibility. We may reduce your refund for any marks, damage, or signs of wear. We will refund you within 14 days of receiving the dress back.

Studio purchases. Dresses purchased in person at our studio after a try-on are non-returnable unless faulty or not as described.

Faulty items. If your dress is faulty or not as described, please contact us within 30 days of delivery. We will put it right with a repair, replacement, or full refund, and we will cover the cost of return postage. General

Appointments. All appointments must be booked in advance. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as possible.

Your information. We use your details only to provide our services and contact you about them. Please see our Privacy Policy for further information. We may ask to share photographs of our work on our website and social media. We will always ask for your permission first, and, for children, a parent’s permission.

Your rights. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on our website at the time you book or order applies.

 

Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
